Clinical Psychology Programs

Admission to the Program
Our clinical psychology students bring a rich diversity of culture and experience to the educational community. Many are mid-career professionals seeking to deepen their understanding and application of the latest developmental and clinical research. Some want to broaden their career options to include work with a variety of populations or to include the specialties involving body-oriented psychotherapy and/or birth psychology. All are self-motivated students committed to excellence and scholarship.

The program seeks students who have a passion for learning, a capacity for self-inquiry and a desire to make a difference. Students must be able to benefit from and contribute to an educational community. Because of the depth and intensity of the programs, it is essential that students be emotionally mature, well functioning, self-directed and receptive to continual growth.

Program Objectives

The graduate programs in clinical psychology seek to:

  • Explore, develop and implement the principles of synergistic education
  • Prepare students to integrate and utilize the principles of psychology and to develop a viable career as psychotherapists, educators, researchers and health care professionals
  • Prepare students for leadership in their chosen profession
